The Greater Houston Community Foundation is proud to partner with leading Houston companies to enhance their social investment and ensure that their giving has maximum impact. GHCF can serve as an efficient administrative solution to support company giving through corporate donor advised funds and other giving vehicles. Our comprehensive approach also ensures that a broad range of customized services is always available.

Supporting corporate philanthropy.

Your plan is at the core of effective giving. Each company is unique and GHCF works with you to understand your values, market position, and stakeholders. GHCF helps you assess your current corporate giving and engagement, develop your mission and focus areas, address your grant making strategies, and structure reporting and evaluation.

Projects have also included landscape analyses, social needs assessments, nonprofit evaluation, grant design, and benchmarking with peer companies.

LEAP 2.0

Learn. Engage. Advance. Persevere.

Following Hess Corporation’s three-year dropout prevention program in two HISD middle schools that was managed by GHCF, Hess decided to expand its philanthropic footprint in the East End with LEAP 2.0. This expansion includes an HISD feeder pattern of four elementary schools, one of the original LEAP middle schools, and a high school along with STEM programming at KIPP Explore and KIPP Intrepid in the East End. GHCF manages LEAP 2.0 by partnering with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation – My Home Library program, Communities in Schools, Children’s Museum Houston – Science Workshop, and Genesys Works to provide resources to students and their families.

Partnering with the foundation allows us to concentrate on where we want to give and who we want to give to versus spending all of our time with the administrative burdens of giving.
