A Small Step Toward Greater Racial Equity
At Greater Houston Community Foundation, we recognize how much work there is to create awareness around racial disparities and biases in philanthropy, and we are taking steps toward listening, learning, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Within this guide, we define “Black-led” as an organization that is led by a Black CEO or executive director. Although we humbly realize that this guide does not fully reflect all of the impactful work that’s being done by local Black communities, we hope that it can act as an ever-evolving resource to increase giving to Black-led organizations over time.
